Know Me

Hi, I’m Rolando Martinez, LCSW, LADC, and I’m passionate about helping people find balance, healing, and direction when life feels overwhelming.

For nearly 40 years, I’ve worked with individuals facing mental health and substance use challenges in hospital, community, and outpatient settings. Over the years, I’ve learned that meaningful change happens when we combine compassion with practical tools. My approach is warm, collaborative, and rooted in evidence-based practices like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, and mindfulness.

I work primarily with adults who are navigating depression, anxiety, trauma, life transitions, or recovery. I’m especially passionate about supporting people who may feel stuck or uncertain, helping them build coping skills, strengthen emotional regulation, and rediscover a sense of confidence and purpose.

As someone fluent in English and Spanish, I’m committed to creating a space where clients from all backgrounds feel seen and understood. Whether you’re taking your first step toward therapy or returning to it after some time, my goal is to meet you where you are, without judgment, and help you move toward where you want to be.

I often think of therapy as a lighthouse: a steady light to guide you through the fog when things feel unclear. Together, we’ll work to find that light and chart a course that feels grounded, hopeful, and true to you.

"The name Lighthouse Therapy comes from a moment early in my life when I was caught in a storm at sea. Lost in the fog and certain we wouldn’t make it, I prayed for guidance. Then, through the mist, a lighthouse appeared — its light cutting through the darkness and leading us safely home. That experience stayed with me as a symbol of hope, faith, and direction; a reminder that even in life’s darkest moments, there’s always a light to guide us through."
